Description
We are looking for 11 motivated volunteers who are interested in sustainability, recycling, food waste prevention and community engagement! During this short-term volunteering project in Gdańsk, we will combine environmental awareness, solidarity and intercultural exchange in a warm, pre-Christmas atmosphere. Together, we will prepare meals to share through community fridges, organise the local initiative “Ooo, ja pierniczę!”, and host an intercultural evening where volunteers can share their traditions, food and cultures. There will also be space for creativity, upcycling activities, teamwork and developing your own ideas to support the local community. Our goal is simple: waste less, share more and show how small actions can make a positive difference. Join us for a project full of meaningful activities, new connections and shared experiences!
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Accommodation in shared rooms. Volunteers will reserved Volunteer pass for local transport. Travel costs to Poland will be covered due to ESC rules. Money for food and pocket money will be paid on the first day of project.
Training during the activity
Pre-departure preparation, integration and team building activities, evaluation.
Participant profile
We are looking for young people aged 18–30 who would like to take part in a short-term volunteering project within the European Solidarity Corps. No previous experience is required – what matters most is motivation, openness, and willingness to get involved. We welcome participants interested in sustainability, reducing food waste, and supporting local communities. We value teamwork, intercultural exchange, creativity, and the willingness to share ideas and experiences.
