Activity description

Regenerar Odemira pretends to have young people thinking and acting towards a sustainable and regenerative nature in the territory. We are looking for 6 volunteers from partner countries, France, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Greece, Italy and Spain. The volunteers could apply for 3 different opportunities with different roles (Gaia -Ecological Lifestyles, Rota Vicentina - Nature tourism and sustainable development, Project Earth - Clara Foodlab Sustainability, Ecology, Regeneration and climate change will be the focus, and all the volunteers will have the possibility to experience the different activities promote by the different hosting partners. 1 year that could make a difference for us and for those who are willing to learn and develop skills related to this areas of intervention. We will plant trees, food, we will clean the lands and recover old traditions, learn with the elders, and promote a sustainable life for everyone!

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

All the volunteers will be hosted in particular houses, rented by hosting organizations for the purpose, and they will have all the facilities needed. Internet will be available Everyone will get a budget for food, and are responsible for cooking their own meals! Transports ~for activities, will be guaranteed by the hosting organizations. Other situations should be provided by the local transports network

Training during the activity

All volunteers will have to participate in the trainings promoted by the Portuguese National Agency, On arrival Training Intermediate Training UBUNTU, every month one of the hosting organizations will host all the volunteers, and prepare a weekend for self development...

Participant profile

Young people aged 18-30 Gaia Alentejo -aware of global environmental challenges and wish to develop skills and knowledge on ecological methodology, to be used at personal level (change of behaviors) and at community level. Passion for the rural world and for living in small environments, Interest in the areas of nature tourism, responsible tourism and sustainable development, Photography and / or video, Travel writing and photography, Personal interest to develop one or more of the following competences: techniques/methodology for self-organisation inside a community, participation, ...
