Activity description

This ESC volunteering project intends to involve 4 young people in the work of our NGO, promoting HR values & education, as well as supporting our local community. By taking part in this project, volunteers will be involved in: - support EFM in seminars, international projects, local partnerships, and daily office work; - Creation of videos & different audio-visual tools for dissemination of our work; - supporting activities in YouthMaSter, our youth development academy; - preparing and leading presentations on different topics; - social media content; - support different events in the region; - Lead activities together with our local partners (municipality; schools, museums, house of culture...) - local actions and campaigns (in person or online); - Promote their culture in different events; - Organize events, meetings, and workshops in different topics; - support our work connected to hosting Ukrainian refugees; - Support the maintenance of the EFM building and office.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Volunteers live in EFM's house, in a small village - Długopole Górne (15 min from Bystrzyca Kłodzka). The house is at 1min distance from a bus stop and 20 min walk to the train station. Accommodation is in shared rooms, and there's shared bathrooms and a large equipped kitchen. The house has washing machines, dishwasher and internet. Outside there's a garden and small football and basketball court. EFM covers transport costs regarding the project. Plus, volunteers receive food allowance (90€) and pocket money (4€ per day) at the beginning of each month. -->EFM also hosts Ukrainian refugees!

Training during the activity

The volunteer will participate in an orientation training during the first week of the project, organized by Europejskie Forum Młodzieży (EFM). The volunteer will also participate in the activity organized by the Polish National Agency of Erasmus+ Programme. Extra training will depend on the volunteer’s ideas and needs. If he/she/them needs exceptional support to put an idea into action, within the project, it will be attempted to provide this training. General support is assured by the mentor assigned to the volunteer. In EFM volunteers learn by doing with the staff of the organisation.

IMPORTANT: - 18 - 30 yo; - Flexible towards different ways of working and thinking; - Willing to integrate with new cultures; - open-minded; - Ready and Available to cooperate and work in an international NGO; - Willing to work with people who face difficult situations; - Enthusiastic to explore new challenges; - Dynamic and with sense of initiative; - Willing to implement his/hers/their own ideas in a team work environment; - Understanding of the Mission, rules and expectations of EFM; - Helpful; - Respectful; - Honest -->No specific qualifications/ skills are required.
