International volunteering in Kiwanis Europe

Activity description

Kiwanis is a service organisation that has as a mission to improve the lives of children. We have local clubs of an older generation that do fundraising activities to give to youth projects. The local clubs are grouped per country (what we call a "district"), and there is a European umbrella. This project takes place in the European office of Kiwanis, where we support our districts and European volunteer leaders. We organise webinars, trainings, make newsletters, assist districts and clubs with their questions. WE DON'T WORK DIRECTLY WITH CHILDREN, but with our districts and volunteer leaders, which are of an older generation. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

2 Volunteers are hosted in an appartment with an individual room, but shared kitchen, bathroom, living room. Food money, pocket money, internet connection is provided. Training during the activity

We provide induction, on the spot training, and the volunteers are also part of our team that organise European trainings. Please read carefully the call - website for all details: https://kiwanis.callforvolunteers.eu Aside that, the volunteers will be also involved in the organisation of trainings and webinars: In 2023, a train-the-trainer in the South of France, a youth training in Rome, A European convention in Amsterdam,... are scheduled.
