Activity description

VACANCY! Red Salmantica Global is a common project that host 9 volunteers in different organization in the city of Salamanca. The hosting opportunities are the following: - 1 place working with sport and disability in Fundación AVIVA Salamanca. https://www.avivasalamanca.org VACANCY! - 2 place working with disability and communitarian development in ASPRODES https://asprodes.es - 1 place working with migrants in Fundación Diagrama https://www.fundaciondiagrama.es - 1 place working with children with fewer opportunities in a foster house called Casa Hogar Teresa de Jesús. - 1 place working with roma people in and educational project in Fundación Secretariado Gitano. https://www.gitanos.org/ - 1 place working in art and circus place self managed called Espacio Almargen http://espacioalmargen.blogspot.com - 2 places working with youth, European projects and participation in Fundación Plan B Educación Social https://planbeducacionsocial.com (the coordinating organization)

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

You will live together with the other 8 volunteers in a big house in a social neighborhood in the city of Salamanca. The house has a room for each volunteer and big places for common meetings, WiFi, and all the commodities needed. The house is also in the same building of a part of the office of the coordinating organization, so the communication about logistic can be fluent and easy for whatever you need. You will receive monthly an amount of money for food and pocket money to be managed by yourself, and each of you will have a bike to move in the city and the surrounding.

Training during the activity

You will have a person in charge of your learning process and another person in charge of your logistic support and your inclusion in the local society. Also you will have contact with local volunteers for informal activities and you will received Spanish lessons weekly by a profesional teacher.

Participant profile

We are looking for flexible people with high motivation to create things by their own, and really proactive attitude. The hosting places in this project are in social field and it can be difficult for some people so the most importante is to be really motivated to learn and let you change by the experience. It is a good requirement to know a bit a of Spanish in advance because it can help you in the activity and in your own inclusion in the hosting society.
