Activity description

Every year, the Fundación Escuela de Solidaridad organises a Social Art Festival "KreArTe". We believe that art represents an infinite space for expression, relationships and growth, capable of breaking down barriers and giving voice to unjust situations. For this reason we want the Art and Social worlds to have a platform for dialogue and experimentation that grows and consolidates innovative and effective methods for social inclusion. To carry out this activity we are looking for volunteers with an interest and/or training in the management of cultural events, communication, production, art and culture in general. The activities would be: Management, monitoring and evaluation of activities and workshops Support in the production of the cultural event at a logistical level. External communication and dissemination of the festival. Providing artistic-creative workshops Organisation of cultural and artistic activities It is intended to generate intensive work days together

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

FES is in Sierra Elvira, a village 9 km from the city of Granada, Spain, located on a plot of land of 5000 m2, and also has a warehouse for the workshops, garden areas, a swimming pool, vegetable garden, storage of materials, a conference room, libraries, hairdresser, swimming pool, two African houses and a bakery. The community houses 150 people at risk of social exclusion They will live in a house for volunteers with shared rooms, heating, a terrace, wi-fi, hot water. Volunteers will adapt to the times set for volunteering activities and meals ( guaranteed by FES)

Training during the activity

Management of a multicultural host community. Language training Their autonomy and empowerment will be promoted by encouraging the development of their identity in the activities to be carried out in the community, seeking their initiative and awaiting their proposals and opinions. Socio-community inclusion tools, as well as self-management of social projects, psycho-emotional support tools for vulnerable people, creative solutions to social problems.
