Activity description

In a young dynamic atmosphere international students can feel at home by taking part at weekly meetings, discovering the country of Luxembourg and the cities around and making friends for life. The international context makes it easy to discover unknown realities, improve the inter-cultural learning and share experience.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The volunteers are hosted in the inter-generational house that Lisel asbl rents for students. The allowance includes money for the food, the volunteers will take care of their own food. Public transport is free in Luxembourg

Training during the activity

The volunteers are in close contact with the responsible of the association and work as full team members. The weekly team meetings and daily common tasks give opportunities to exchange the learning experience and manage any problem that might appear. The mentors- as well as some former volunteers- stay in a good relation and touch with the association and can help to solve problems whenever needed.

Participant profile

The volunteers should be minimum 22 years. They need to be able to communicate in English- the common language with the different students They should have some university experience. They should be tolerant, open-minded and interested in international and inter-cultural fields and feel well in flexible working tasks and schedules.
