Grenoble, France

Description

L'Arche in Grenoble is located at the gates of the Alps, opened in August 2010. Our community works with 50 adults with learning disabilities; 35 of whom live in our four homes and 15 who live in their families and come to our day center. Missions : L'Arche in Grenoble offers missions for young people between 18 and 30 years old for 4 to 7 months. The aim of the mission is taking care and developing skills of people with learning disabilities. The volunteer will be part of a team who organise daily activities in one of the 4 homes of L'Arche in Grenoble. The activities are diverse, eg: day or half-day hikes, sports, crafts, relaxation, cooking, creative workshops, games, theatre, musical comedy… Each volunteer will share his talents, his wishes, his ideas! Intercultural mindset is at the heart of our project: one key dimension is to be open to others in their differences.
