Project Officer in Venezuela (Caracas) Humanitarian Volunteer

Descripción de la actividad

Techo Venezuela seeks to improve housing and habitat conditions through the design, management and construction of housing projects, access to basic services and community infrastructure, in joint action between residents and youth volunteers. Join us at our office in Caracas! You will have the chance to participate in the recompilation of information related to activities and impact of the projects. You will gain experience in the manage of quantitative and qualitative information regarding the implementation of projects and in the definition of activities to disseminate results, goals and indicators in the whole cycle of the projects. In the end of your experience you will be familiar with the evaluation of indicators, creation of reports, coordination of activities of evaluation and field work.

Alojamiento, manutención y transporte

You will have the opportunity to live with other people but with individual bedroom. The accommodation costs and utility bills will be covered by the organization and a phone card will be provided. The house will be located close to the office. You will receive a monthly allowance of 600€ for your personal expenses, including food and local transport. For the activities of Alianza, a vehicle will be provided. You will also be covered with a health insurance (Henner).

Formación durante la actividad

You will receive training which will cover topics such as: induction to Techo Venezuela, induction to the European Solidarity Corps, responsibilities and rights of the organisations and of the volunteer, Youthpass, Henner insurance and SHEA. In addition, you will be trained more specifically in feminist leadership and Venezuela's Humanitarian Architecture and Coordination Mechanisms. In the end of your volunteering, you will know how to work in a multidisciplinary team, both on the field and in the office

Perfil del participante

We are looking for a person eager to learn and work in a team and able to adapt to the context. Interest in developing skills in implementation and evaluation and monitoring of projects. Basic knowledge and any experience on tasks related to systematisation of information and drafting of thematic reports. If you are migrant, live in rural areas, have limited economic support or any other don´t hesitate to sign up, this opportunity is for everyone!
