Activity description

The main goal of the project is to break cultural and social barriers through cultural exchange with the local community. The project will include 10 participants. This mobility will take place in our Foundation's office in the beautiful city of Wroclaw, Poland, while others in kindergartens and schools. Responsibilities include content creation for our social media (taking photos, filming, publishing posts, designing templates on Canva) and assisting in organizing events. Working hours are 35 hours per week in host.org. + 5 extra hours per week for organizational meetings to promote the ESC and the project. Polish classes will take place in our office twice a week. We are open to hosting a participant with fewer opportunities. Participant needs to provide a clean criminal record. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Participant will be accommodated in a double room in a flat shared with other participants (about 5 people in one flat). The kitchen and bathroom are shared with flatmates. Flats have internet access, basic kitchen equipment, and clean towels and bedding sets. Participant will receive monthly food money (500 PLN) and pocket money (150 EUR) and have local transportation card costs covered by the project. Travel costs to Wroclaw and back are reimbursed based on the distance calculator provided by the ESC program.

Training during the activity

During the first week, all project participants will take part in training with project coordinators. They will learn about work and flat rules, safety rules including the European Heath insurance and complimentary insurance guide, receive a basic useful Polish language vocabulary book, and participate in fun team-building activities. Within the first 2 months in the project, participants will take part in an On-Arrival training in Warsaw and a Mid-Term training in Toruń in the middle of the project. Polish classes will last for 2-3 months and participation is required.

Participant profile

We are looking for a participant who wants to support the NGO sector, is interested in content creation, digital marketing and managing social media, photography/filming, not afraid of office work, responsible, punctual and reliable, has great spoken and written English skills, motivated to learn Polish, able to plan time and work independently, flexible and helpful, imaginative and creative, has a positive attitude towards potential challenges when lof living abroad, preferably experienced in event management or ready to learn how to organise group events.
