The Munasim Kullakita Foundation (Quierete Hermanita), based in the department of La Paz, Bolivia, is an organisation with 15 years of experience in the care of very vulnerable children and adolescents. The focus of the vacancy will be on the international protection programme, requiring a specialist in the care of children and adolescents in forced migration situations. The volunteer will go on the field to establish contact with children and adolescent in unofficial trade areas, and to the Desaguadero border (Bolibia - Peru) twice a month; will support educational and cultural integration processes; will give basic assistance and coordination with health centres for access to care; will give social support for asylum and refugee application; and will give support for the project’s data systematisation processes.Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The volunteer will live in a furnished flat, with wifi and all basic services, located in the Sopocachi district of the city of La Paz, an area considered one of the safest in the city, as well as continuous public transport. The volunteer will have his/her own workspace, with a computer and office equipment provided on arrival, as well as the support of a multidisciplinary team. The offices have all the basic services and are located in the city of El Alto, which is 40 minutes from the volunteer's home.Training during the activity
Throughout the volunteer's deployment, he or she will have the opportunity to participate in internal and external training courses to which the Foundation is invited. For this mission, the selection campaign for candidates will take place from 29 May to 2 June 2023. We will therefore come back to you in due course.Participant profile
• Studies in the following fields: psychology - social work - sociology - social communication - administration - international cooperation. • Knowledge of intervention with children and adolescents in situations of forced migration. • Working in a team. • Management of social networks and web pages. • Knowledge of office automation and data systematization programs. • Knowledge of international cooperation and fundraising. • Spanish (spoken and written) Minimum requirements: • 2 years’ experience in working with children and adolescents • 1 year experience in international volunteeriActivity dates
