Activity description
The activity in question consists of a long-term volunteer in Murcia, Southern Spain. The volunteer will be able to experiment and get to know different active projects in the association, as well as support different artistic workshops with children and teenagers in different neighborhoods of Murcia. They will also participate in the artistic creation process of various projects underway at the time of their arrival. Having access to different work areas, the volunteer will have the opportunity to see themselves in different environments and situations in order to develop their skills in a wide variety of fields. On the other hand, the volunteer will have the opportunity to support the dissemination and updating of the content of the activities on social networks to publicize our project and participate in its general impact. It will all be managed by the coordinating organization, the association Red Internacional B-Live. In addition to the "pocket money" and "food allowance", each volunteer will be provided with their own room in a shared flat with other volunteers. Said flat will be located in the city centre of Murcia, in order to facilitate all the displacements that the volunteer will have to do, not only project-related, but also for their day to day and to experience everything that the city offers. Also, they will have bikes at their disposal, to explore Murcia and its surroundings :)Training during the activity
Volunteers will participate in an on-arrival training and mid-term evaluation, both organized by the Spanish National Agency. In addition, they will enroll in the Online Linguistic Platform and will be able to attend a Spanish course in the first weeks of their stay (30-40 hours of duration). All volunteers will participate in a monthly meeting with the coordinating entity, also each of them will have a supervisor within the hosting entity (to talk about schedule, personal projects, etc) and a mentor outside of the entity (to share ideas and problems, get to know the city, etc).Participant profile
We are looking for people with values of solidarity, respect for human dignity and human rights and who believe in a just and egalitarian society in which prevail the pluralism, non-discrimination, tolerance, justice and equality. It seems important to us that the profile of the selected person fits our field of action and the values that our organization conveys, so people with an interest in culture and art as a tool for social transformation will be ideal individuals to enrich the project.
