Activity description

During the volunteer experience, the tasks will be aimed at caring for children, adolescents and young people with different social and mental health difficulties. Different activities, workshops and outings will be carried out in the morning and afternoon, always from Monday to Friday, and always accompanied by Open Space professionals. Volunteers will always have 2 days off per week, coinciding with Saturday and Sunday, as well as all holidays without scheduled activity. The objective of the Open Space is to create a safe space for the users.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The foundation will obtain an autonomous apartment where the volunteers will stay, spacious and comfortable enough for a long stay of 7 months. This apartment has 7 individual rooms, heating, its own kitchen, washer and dryer, as well as two bathrooms and two shared showers. In addition, in the event that activities are carried out outside the Open Space, transportation to the place of activities will be remunerated by delivering a recharged Public Transport Card.

Training during the activity

During the stay of the two volunteers, 5 mandatory training sessions will be developed within the Foundation's Volunteer Plan, as well as accompaniment around the language issue. In addition, volunteers will be able to access the foundation's training offer, aimed at professionals in the social and mental health sector.

Participant profile

We are looking for 2 volunteers with sensitivity to work with children, adolescents and young people with social difficulties and in some cases with mental health. An A2 or higher level of Spanish will be valued, as well as previous experience or training in the field of social sciences or health. In the presentation of the candidacy of each person we expect their CV, a letter and a motivational video of at least 1 minute.
