Activity description

Join Haltegriff, empowering 16 NEET-status (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) youths aged 15-19. We provide job training and living facilities for those unable to live at home. We aim to empower these youths towards long-term professional and personal independence. We look for a volunteer to work with experienced trainers, psychologists, and professionals. Responsibilities: Assist work training team in workshops, meetings with employers, fostering essential skills; Support housing team, engaging in recreational activities, cooking, and creating a nurturing environment; Help residents with educational needs and personal growth; Encourage tidiness and responsibility; Organize and participate in outdoor activities to promote team bonding, physical health, and overall well-being.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The volunteer will live in Graz and will take train to go to work. Haltegriff will provide a volunteer with a room at student's dormitory in Graz and a public transport ticket to commute to Kapfenberg and in the region of Styria. Food allowance is €270/month, pocket money €180/month. The length of project can be arranged from 6 to 9 months between October 2023 until end of May 2024.

Training during the activity

The Volunteer will be provided at least with an On Arrival Training and a Mid Term Training, organized by the Austrian National Agency. The volunteer will have a possibility to attend German course.
