Volunteering in communication and promotion in an NGO in Warsaw

Activity description

SPW is an NGO that aims to promote international volunteering, intercultural education and active citizenship. Our main activities are organising and coordinating volunteering projects in Poland. Examples of volunteer's tasks: - Online promotion: creating content for social media (educational and informative posts and videos, personal experiences as a foreigner in Poland and funny content to attract young people (TikToks, vlogs, reels, facebook, Instagram, Youtube etc.); creating website content (Webflow); - Llive promotion - organising meetings/workshops in schools and at open events to share the experience of an ESC volunteer with youth and encourage them to take part in the program; - Education: popularising concepts of intercultural learning, social issues, human rights and promoting active citizenship; - Workcamps: staying in contact with volunteers coming to Poland; taking a role of a camp leader in summer; Infopack: https://sites.google.com/view/infopackwarsaw

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

- Accommodation: Single bedroom in a shared flat - Food: Volunteer receives 150 EUR per month and should be cooking on their own - Pocket money: 150 EUR per month - Language support: online course (EU Academy) provided by the program - Local transport: Volunteer receives city transport pass which allows to use all means of public transport in Warsaw - International travel: Reimbursement up to 180 EUR, 275 EUR or 360 EUR depending on the distance* *a little extra budget possible in case of "green travel"

Training during the activity

- Orientation training (coordinating organization): introduction to the project, getting to know the cooridinators and the organization, integration with other volunteers and mentors, planning - On-arrival training (National Agency): Getting to know Poland, ESC introduction (5 days) - Mid-term training (National Agency, 5 days) - Final evaluation (coordinating organization) - Evaluation meetings/trainings (coordinating organization): intercultural education, learning, cultural adaptation, communication (once every two months)

Participant profile

- good interpersonal and communication skills, fine with talking in public - likes to spend time with people and is willing to participate in group activities - energetic, enthousiastic - creative - curious and willing to explore other cultures (intercultural education and experiences will be part of the content the volunteer will create) - knowledge of social media, at least as an active user - reliable and diligent - at least basic graphic design/photo editing skills or interest in event/project/training management - making memes will be an advantage too
