Activity description

Do you like to animate? Conduct educational activities? Organising events is your passion? Are you coming from hanseatic country? We have something for you. Spend the beginning of summer in Gdańsk, where a number of tasks await you as a volunteer. We are looking for 20 volunteers to support major social and international events taking place in Gdańsk - the city of Solidarity. - Freedom and Democracy Days - International Hanseatic Days - Senior Parade You will: - take part in one of the biggest events dedicated to civil society - get actively involved in a n intergenerational exchange organising animations during the biggest seniors' parade - get insight in the working of polish scholls and the everyday of PL youngsters - verify your ability to work in internationam team and coomunicate your ideas in an intercultural group - boost your creativity by writing, taking pictures, making videos etc. - explore Gdańsk and the Tricity area, meet a lot of people and simply have fun

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

You will live in a room within a student residence with the rest of volunteers. You will receive an volunteer ID that allows you enjoy for free the public transportation during your stay. Training during the activity

During your stay, you will receive the necessary practical knowledge that will allow you to prepare activities for young people, show you new methods of animation, games etc. You will be trained about onboard hospitality and team work. We want volunteers to learn from each other, so we will allocate a lot of space for the exchange of experiences, ideas and ideas on how to conduct different animations.

Participant profile

Notice: We are looking for people from Hanzeatic countries, preferably partner cities of Gdańsk. You must be able to work in a team made up of people from different backgrounds, to be flexible and adapt easily according to the situation. Available for the whole project time. Ready to work irregular time shifts, ready to work with different age groups, strong motivation to work at an international event. Ready for spontanous and ad-hoc tasks. Previous experience as educator or animator will be an assent, but if You neved did it and want a try. If You are ready for new challenges: APPLY!
