Rural Youth Festival 3.0

Activity description

A new edition of a fun project is happening this summer, the summer of 2024. A team of 18 volunteers will gather to provide a series of cultural and educational activities for the community of Măneciu village. Moreover they will also help organizing the 6th edition of Ruralympics Festival - the only Rural Youth Festival in Romania. For 7 weeks the group of young people will experience life in countryside, Romanian culture and beautiful landscapes, as well as living and working in a big international group. This is a Volunteering Team project, so its also open for people that did short/long term EVS/ESC.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

We provide shared accommodation with common kitchen, bathroom and living room; There will be between 2 and 6 ppl in a room according to the total number of volunteers and the distribution in rooms. Reimbursement of travel costs in the end of the stay according to the rules of the programme (green transport is available); food allowance and pocket money; local transport bus permits and car when needed for activities

Training during the activity

- coordination support, materials for activities and equipment - task-related trainings such as teambuilding, health and security, event management, basic youthwork and group dynamics, communication, - language training

Participant profile

- is between 18 and 30 years old - is available for the full 55 days of the mobility - is motivated to do international volunteering - is strongly motivated to live and work in rural area - is motivated to work with children and young people - is motivated to develop new competences and to learn about community development - can manage in English spoken and written; - willing to share his living spaces with other volunteers, - checks emails frequently (including spam), as we are answering fast and the selection process is very quick.
