Description of organisation

We are a governmental institution. Our target group is children and youth, aged 6 to 26. Our work is oriented towards areas of culture, sport, environment, crafts, social science and tourism, by making activities for children and their parents. Those activities are organised through clubs, interest groups, information groups, meetings and bigger social acitivites like "Santa Claus day", "International Children's day" and also activities during summer holidays - summer camps or bigger international activities like our Fort Boyard-like Key of the Stara Lubovna castle competition. In any given year there are about 30 clubs and interest groups on offer and on average almost 100 different meetings and activities (including competitions) with various themes.
We cooperate with NGOs in our region to be able to prepare variety of interesting activities for children and youth: International exchanges, workshops and competitions. We help both talented children to better present themselves and their skills as well as having specially prepared activities for socially disadvantaged children.
