Description of organisation

The Association for Developing Voluntary Work Novo mesto is a Slovenian non-governmental and humanitarian organization that works in the public interest in the field of social protection, youth and culture. Our mission is to contribute to a more inclusive and open society for all. Our two flagship programs are therefore concerned with involving socially excluded groups and promoting the development of NGOs and civil dialogue. Our program activities carry out professional and voluntary work. We promote the values of solidarity, tolerance, volunteering, active life, clean environment, citizens' awareness and intercultural dialogue, citizen participation… DRPDNM has more than 25 years of experience in education, youth, citizens, migrants, refugees, women, families, workers, NEETs, Roma, empowerment, international cooperation, entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, intercultural competences, sports, advocacy, international cooperation, rural development, health, hate speech, sustainable development, professions in history, culture and the arts, unemployment, empowerment of vulnerable groups, training, seminars, conferences, workshops and
other activities that serve the objectives of our projects. We cooperate on a daily basis with Slovenian and European organizations, universities, municipalities, private and public institutions, research and development, SMEs, …
DRPDNM strategic goals:
1. Provide a group of skilled workers employed for several years to ensure the continuity of programs and expand volunteering.
2. Increase the visibility of our organization for key stakeholders and establish cooperation with them.
3. Empowerment of key stakeholders (young people, socially excluded and non-governmental organizations).
Programs to achieve our mission
A. Inclusion of socially excluded groups
a) Day center for children
b) Day center for Roma children (Day center Brezje, Day center Šmihel)
c) Promoting intercultural dialogue
B. Encourage the development of non-governmental organizations and civil dialogue
2) work with young people who use culture/art as a factor of integration into the labor market
3) experience working with disadvantaged and vulnerable young people (NEET)
