The Világjáró Önkéntes Nonprofit Ltd. was founded in the summer of 2013. The center of the organization is located in the center of Debrecen on one of the university campuses. The founders are experienced youth workers and professionals. Our organization employs an employee who is responsible for everyday work, and a team of volunteers participate in our activities and programs. The founders set up the organisation according to the needs of local youth. Our goals are:
- Development of skills, attitudes and non-formal educational opportunities related to the civic activity of young people based on peer-to-peer teaching methods.
- Training and support of youth workers and professionals in accordance with international experience and methods.
- Organising intercultural events for the meeting of different cultures.
- Building relationships and working with domestic and international organisations in the wake of: 1, developing opportunities for learning, working and mobility in and outside Europe; 2, promoting tolerance and mutual understanding among young people from different cultural backgrounds.
- Promoting volunteering as a learning experience, organising information and volunteering.
- Combating social exclusion, supporting disadvantaged groups and young people
- Organising events to promote the social integration of young people and the reduction of the number of young unemployed. The members of the organization are participants and organizers of a number of domestic and international youth programmes.
Our target groups include young workers aged 14-35, youth support professionals, local associations and NGOs.
We regularly organize complex youth exchanges involving local volunteers, focusing on media, cultural diversity, solidarity and civic activity. We are also represented at international events organised by our partners.
