Kooperativet Fjället is an association and youth center that was founded in 1992 on the initiative of young people in the area. Kooperativet Fjället runs leisure activities for young people aged 10 to 20 in Rannebergen, Angered. The highest decision making organ is a board consisting of young people. Our aim is that open youth activities are conducted as a learning process based on young people's participation and influence. This means that we make use of young people's ideas, experiences, skills and interests so that it awakens young people's desire for commitment and responsibility. We want young people to be involved in creating their own free time as far as possible. The goal is that young people build their skills and learn things together that they can take with them further into life.
Kooperativet Fjället has a non-profit public partnership (IOP) with Social Administration Nordost and works closely together with other leisure centers in Nordost.
Kooperativet Fjället is a member of the KEKS network; Quality and Competence in Cooperation that works for the development of open youth activities. Kooperativet Fjället has developed work throughout Rannebergen in collaboration with various local actors. We work to involve residents so that together we can contribute to a safer and more active area. Kooperativet Fjället is active in international youth work such as European Solidarity Corps and Youth Exchanges with support from European youth programs such as Erasmus+.
