The city of Dijon is the capital of the Burgundy, in France.This is a french town located between Paris and Lyon. It has intramural 160 200 inhabitants. She is the head of the named Greater Dijon urban community with 253 859 inhabitants. It's also the former capital of the Dukes of Burgundy. Heir to a rich historical and architectural heritage, Dijon is a tourist city whose appeal is enhanced by the gastronomic reputation of the region. It is also a green city to the important service sector, regional capital in schools, universities, judicial ,administrative and hospital which provide intellectual tradition.
Unesco's dual recognition of Dijon, with the Gastronomic meal of the French and the Climates of Burgundy's Vineyards, confirms our city's worldwide prestige and international appeal. In addition, Dijon Métropole is one of the few urban areas in Greater Eastern France, with a continually increasing population, it is ranked among France's top regional capitals. Dijon is a cosmopolitan city with some 126 different nationalities. It is therefore not surprising that it is setting its sight at the international level. With more than 3.000 foreign students each year, through its participation in important trade and tourism fairs, with its European cultural and sporting events, in addition to the well -known international firms set up in the city, there is no doubt that Dijon is globally minded.
It is a local community, with 3,500 employees in many sectors.
