Description of organisation

Brønderslev Ungdomsskole Brønderslev is a municipal organisation, an our assignment is:
“... to give youngsters the opportunity to consolidate and study thoroughly their abilities, give them an understanding and qualify themselves as citizens, and contribute in giving them a existence a increased content as well as developing their interest for and ability to an active participation in a democratic society”.
The above is unfolded through various activities, teaching and projects that primarily take place in the leisure time of the target groups. Our aim is to develope, train and support the democratic
awareness and co-determination within the framework of committed communities, where the children/young people develops and acquires new competences in an informal learning space. Our traget group is 7th. grade - 18 years.
Further more we run aftenoon and evening clubs ; - Fritidsclub 10-13 years and Youth Club age 12-18 years
Above mentioned we are hires by the schools to carry out - elective teaching 9.th grades and - weel-being projects 5.th.-10th.grades.
Every 2 years we arrange a Youth Congress for the municipality's 7.-9. classes. Here, there are elections to the municipality's Youth Council, as well as topic-based workshops, where the young people make recommendations for activities, projects and initiatives in the municipality targeted at young people ex. UN's world goals in a local context.
