description of organisation

Our Foundation, which was established in 1993 as a private initiative, has as its main objective the transmission of values and the preservation of traditions, also keeping equal opportunities in mind. Our primary objectives based on our statutes: - education and training, non-formal pedagogy, skills development, raising awareness; - cultural activity; - preservation of cultural heritage; promoting equal opportunities for disadvantaged groups; - promoting Euro-Atlantic integration.
We work with children, youngsters and young adults and we build the intergeneration communication with our activity, too.

Objective:
- Supporting the individual and community initiatives and activities of disadvantaged children and youth living mainly in the area of the Szolnok region and the Northern Great Plain Region, without own resources, and also those dealing with them and for them;
- preserving traditional crafts, handicrafts, passing on traditional folk and sports games to children, youth and adults;
- national and international cooperation, in the framework of events and programs, highlighting cultural diversity;
- encouraging and promoting the preservation of cultural traditions on international, national and regional levels;
- keeping equal opportunities in mind, to promote cultural values in the broad sense and to provide knowledge to children and youth.

These goals are achieved by our programs on folk games and crafts, which we have organized over a hundred times, either on invitation or from grant funding. These events are really popular, since they can be adapted to different places, age groups, locations, occasions and they provide individual as well as shared experienced to the participants.

Besides basic objectives, our organization was eager to get involved in local, regional and international youth development and procedures. We took part in both youth activities and also procedures of youth policy by organizing trainings, camps, programs, events and preparing, commenting development material and recommendations.

This organisation holds a European Solidarity Corps Quality Label. The Quality Label certifies that the organisation is able to run projects in compliance with the principles and objectives of the European Solidarity Corps.
