The ADCOR Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of adults with intellectual disabilities and their families, through personalized comprehensive care of proven quality. Since 1996, the ADCOR Foundation has carried out projects whose purposes are classified as of social interest by Law 49/2002, Law 50/2002 and Law 7/1993 on Galician Foundations. The object of all projects is the fulfillment of the social purpose of the entity. To this end, it declares the following as permanent objectives: - Promote social and labor integration that facilitates the incorporation into the labor market of people with intellectual disabilities - Socially and professionally enable people whose disability prevents them from entering the world of ordinary work - Promote the development of personal and social autonomy, enhancing self-esteem and responsibility in order to achieve a change in role at a personal and social level. - Influence the social environment through the changes in people with disabilities, favoring a change of vision about them that facilitates their integration. - Improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and their families by satisfying relationship and personal enjoyment needs. - Facilitate the change of attitude and adaptation to changes in the family. - Offer an alternative to institutionalized life.
- This organisation is accredited to run projects under Erasmus+ Volunteering and the European Solidarity Corps.
- This organisation holds a European Solidarity Corps Quality Label. The Quality Label certifies that the organisation is able to run projects in compliance with the principles and objectives of the European Solidarity Corps.
