Our association was established in 2004 by highly qualified researchers working in the field of social sciences, with the aim that by researching the social changes and problems that can be observed in the Southern Great Plain region of Hungary, the organization contributes to the management of these problems and thereby to the development of a knowledge-based society. We have participated in many local, regional and specific researches, we have joined the scientific and political discourse at the domestic and international level. In the course of our operation, we have established strong partnership relations with municipalities and professional organizations (chambers, government offices and their administrative bodies, civil and church-run organizations).
After a few years our scope of activities expanded to include youth, education and business development. We have implemented numerous domestic and international projects in these areas in recent years. Our employees participate in youth development, curriculum development. We have also participated in the founding of social enterprises.
Since 2009 we have been operating the "Ötletfa" school, where the competence development of 26 young people, mostly Roma, is currently taking place. Previously we were active implementers of volunteer hosting projects also within the framework of EVS. Our experience shows that hosting international volunteers represents a serious development opportunity for all participating actors.
