Description of organisation

The “Belgian Service Club Namur asbl (BSCN)” is a non-profit, apolitical, active since 1985. It brings together and coordinates the experience of many retired executives and volunteers from the most diverse backgrounds (businesses, financial circles, public organizations, Armed Forces, ...) in order to put their experience at the service of others. Our action is mainly oriented to help small and medium-sized enterprises, social organizations, young people, independent workers and in particular to young people through programs such as the Service European volunteer. We have been active in the EVS program since 1997, year during which we have set up, with the help of the services of the European Commission, a pilot project sending 20 young Belgians and French to England and Ireland. Subsequently, from 2000, we joined the sending and hosting program in bilateral projects managed by the Bureau Internationale de la Jeunesse. We are currently accredited by the European Commission and by the Ministry of the French Community (Bureau International de la Jeunesse) as a sending and coordinating organization for hosting projects for young volunteers. Since 2018, we are active in the new programme "European Solidarity Corps "
Nowadays, we sent more than 60 volunteers (including 3 for a project located in Argentina: Casa del Sol) and we hosted more than a hundred. You can discover more information on our actions by consulting our site: www.bscnamur.org
