Description of organisation

INCA Catalunya is an organization that uses art, culture, and volunteering as tools for solidarity, social inclusion, and active youth participation. Its main aim is to improve the quality of life of local communities and young people by fostering cultural engagement, environmental awareness, and social responsibility. INCA promotes values such as equality, respect, solidarity, and intercultural understanding, and is a member of the Barcelona Youth Council (Consell de Joventut de Barcelona).
INCA's main activities focus on education and community engagement, particularly in the Raval and rural areas like Llinars, Ribes, and Castellcir. They implement hands-on environmental projects using arts to covering water, air, and earth. Key initiatives include using arts creating butterfly gardens and hosting Bioblitz events for biodiversity monitoring and environmental talks. Future plans involve a biodiversity festival, artistic competitions on environmental care, building sustainable vehicles, and opening a public "environmental classroom." INCA also provides training courses and educational activities for young people at risk of social exclusion, and maintains a strong international network of over 60 partners across Europe, participating in numerous international youth exchanges and capacity-building training.

INCA's primary target group is young people aged 18 to 30, especially those who are unemployed, in vulnerable situations, or at risk of social exclusion.
