Description of organisation

The Hollerbusch organization is a parents' initiative Waldorf kindergarten, which means that we look after children from the age of one and a half up to 7 years, based on the principles of Rudolf Steiner's pedagogy. The kindergarten was founded by parents and is run by the state, but as a free institution jointly by parents and educators. At the Hollberbusch organization, the focus is set on the physical, mental and spiritual development of the child. This emphasis is mainly implemented through direct encounters between educators and child. In addition, this is underlined by the rhythmic sequence of days, weeks and seasons and a thoughtfully designed environment that offers freedom to discover, try out and learn socially.

Since the children of this age range, mainly perceive the world through their senses, we set particular importance to the following
- a consciously designed environment, for example of colors, shapes, smells and sounds,
- meaningful and manageable activities that can be imitated and understood,
- the inclusion of differentiated language through recurring narratives and finger games,
- the rhythmic repetition of the festivities of the year, which are experienced by singing, playing and in the interior design,
- stimulating the imagination with simple toys, - free play with other children, through which intelligence, imagination and social behavior are developed,
- Eurythmy movement and artistic-craftsmanship, through which the children experience their body in relation to the physical environment.

Since we are a parents' initiative, it is important to us that parents take responsibility and play an active part in the work of the association. The board members are therefore elected from and by parenthood. This aims for an active exchange between parents, educators, volunteers and children.
