The aims of Caritas are mainly the following:
Promote SOCIAL INCLUSION and solidarity: It is documented how the inclusion of vulnerable groups, young people, or people with fewer opportunities creates a positive and constructive environment. At the same time, it involves a "sense of participation" within the community for the socially excluded group. Social inclusion is the basis to achieve the goals of ending extreme poverty and promoting shared prosperity. Our mission is to accompany people who face difficult life situations.
Promote SOCIAL JUSTICE by promoting the values of equality, fraternity and solidarity between people with different social and cultural backgrounds and trying to remove the barriers that people have to overcome due to social, cultural and economic condition. Caritas aims to make young people reflect on issues such as justice, active citizenship, social equity, poverty, etc. and it wants to arouse the sensitivity for a social commitment, to make the sense of social responsibility and the spirit of solidarity grow in young people.
Promote VOLUNTEERING: the value of volunteering is a cardinal principle of Caritas and we believe that inalienable values such as equal opportunities are one of the most important steps to create and sustain healthy societies. This is why we promote volunteering and active citizenship through various activities. Volunteering allows young people to critically question and implement solutions to problems rather than indulge in scapegoating, discrimination and other tactics propagated by extremists through traditional media.
