Description of organisation

The "Zöld Nap" association is an environmental, professional-scientific organization which was established in the summer of 2009. The organization received his legal status at 04.02.2010. The members of the association are ecologists, economists, fine artists, but there are in the group teachers, engineers and sociologists as well. The members of the organization formed alliance in the consciousness of their dissimilarity, fighting for a politically and religiously independent cause. "Zöld Nap" association is not subordinated to any other legal entity and is functioning under democratic principles. The objectives of the association are: Popularizing environmental mentality. With the organization of environmental protection events we are trying to popularize environmental mentality. Our aim is to let the people in our region know that the ecological and sociological problems are interacting one with the other. We would like to promote civilian self-awareness in our region and to clarify for people living in the region that civilian organizations can help a lot in resolving the ecological-sociological problems. Since the foundation of our association the nature and the environment, as well as education and sports are important activities and values. Our programs support the sustainable education, love and protection of the environment and the dissemination of a healthy lifestyle. We believe that through our association a more active, conscious, responsible and healthier society can be established. We would like to highlight a few events that brought together masses. The first to mention are the Green Spring Days: More than six hundred people joined in, children and adults as well. In the autumn of 2010, we built a playground for children. The supplies needed for the purchase of material were collected by charity evenings and from the local Protestant parish funds. We are present on several events in the surrounding villages with our green stands. We leave behind round table discussion, environmental awareness teaching work in schools and kindergartens. We created in the autumn of 2011, the Nemere Trail (www.nemere.zoldnap.info).
Covasna County tourism and economic lives is determined by the unique nature of the region: the rich tourism potential, multiculturalism, cultural heritage. Catching up to the recent economic and social transformations in the global economic trend put all the tourism sector in a face of new challenges. It is becoming increasingly important the methods, the development of strategies that increase the profitability of the sector in a long-term level. We have an impact on the local population, as we continue to inform them in advertisements, in media appearance. In mid-October 2010 the Hungarian Non-Governmental Organisations of Transylvanian Association (MCSZESZ) organized for the tenth time the Civic Organization of the year Award and the association received the 3rd price. We are taking part in the Erasmus Programme + since 2011 as EVS sending, hosting and coordinating organizations and youth exchanges are also presents in our life. Through local and foreign volunteer opportunities and training’s the young people's chances on finding their roles are improving, and develop their skills, no to mention about the language skills. Members of our community through our programs become active citizens and among them can be observed the decrease in stereotypes, the increase of creativity and entrepreneurship. Many unemployed young`s after our programs could find different jobs, which demonstrates that the competences acquired are
valuable. In the year 2014 Green Sun Association received for Nemere Greenway project the best environmental project award at Gala Naţională a Societăţii Civile Tinere from Romania. From the year 2014, every year we are organizing yearly The bike for a good aim bike activity, where in 2018 we had a record number of participants, more then 900 people registered and biked during 3 hours on the streets of our city. With this charity action we managed to raise more then 30000 lei to support the surgery expenses of a child from our city. Also we are present in 4 local schools with our regular Green Sun school activities. In the former year we started a huge campaign to promote recycling and composting in our region. Regular, day by day activities of the NGO - Protecting the natural values trough different active workshops and presentations - Sport programs: bike tours, table tennis championship, athletics, trekking - Camps, outdoor programs, youth exchanges, training courses - continuous development of Nemere Green Way - Environmental programs and events ,programs for children, students in Green School and not only - Realizing and disseminating publications about recycling, composting, biking, etc. - Population ecological awareness-raising, counseling, education, media activity - Workshops on various themes: - creative recycling, etc. - Partner in DOFE program.
