Description of organisation

Ordu University (ODU) is a reputable public university with deep roots in the local community. Established in 2006, its aim is to contribute to the economic, cultural, and social development of the Black Sea region. Embracing universal principles, the university strives to foster innovation for the betterment of both individuals and society through rigorous intellectual pursuit. With campuses in Ordu and eight surrounding counties, its primary location is in the coastal city of Ordu, situated on the shores of the Black Sea. The university places significant emphasis on science, education, and research, as an academic institution which is open for expansion. Additionally, it strives to fulfill students' requirements for professional development and various social needs, including accommodation, healthcare, dining, cultural engagement, social events, and sports activities. The university comprises 13 faculties, 10 vocational schools offering short cycle programs, 3 graduate schools, and 13 research centers. Its community consists of 17,496 students, supported by a faculty of 1,399 academic members and 674 staff members.
Ordu University's aim is to raise competent individuals who research and question with a participatory and people-oriented approach and who have adopted universal ethical values, and to contribute to the economic, cultural and social development of the region with its scientific research at national and international levels.
