Description of organisation

The Youth Department of the Majadahonda City Council is in charge of the design and development of the actions aimed to the youth of the municipality

Our aim is:
To promote actions that improve the quality of life of the youth, favoring their socio-cultural development and their transition to adult life, responding to their needs related to information, culture, participation, mobility, acquisition of personal competences, leisure, autonomy and their integration in the environment.

Our headquarters ( "Príncipe de Asturias" Youth Center) offers these services:

- Youth Information Center and specialized consultancies
- Office for International Programs
- Majadahonda TECH
- Volunteering Information Point
- Service-Learning Program
- School of Animation
- Cultural workshops: dance, photography, music, programming, etc.
- Technological summer schools.
- Free Time and personal development activities.
-Partner program with Secondary Schools
- Other activities: Fair of Volunteer Entities, Bike Party, Volunteering Day, YI week
- Rooms for study, exhibitions, rehearsals and association meetings

All services and activities are developed from the Non-Formal Education methodology, promoting the active participation of the youth in their learning process and the development of their personal autonomy

As part of the local government, we work in cooperation with other areas: education, social welfare, health, employment, etc., as well as with other organizations of the town.

  • This organisation holds a European Solidarity Corps Quality Label. The Quality Label certifies that the organisation is able to run projects in compliance with the principles and objectives of the European Solidarity Corps.
