COCAT is the International Working Camps Organizers Coordinator of Catalonia, a platform of organizations founded in 2005 and integrated by those Catalan member organizations which organize international camps and organizations that have the will of becoming members.
Currently, COCAT members are: Balmes Blancs, CRUC, Fundació Catalana de l’Esplai, Fundació Escolta Josep Carol, Obre’t Ebre, ASCALFÓ, Terra Roia and GEPV.
Members of COCAT such as educational organizations of participative and social nature, organize the working camps as a tool of international volunteering to promote the cultural exchange.
The main target of COCAT is promoting the international volunteering as a tool for getting in touch with several realities.
Through the network with the Catalan entities and from all over the world (as Alliance and CCIVS) have built a an integral project of volunteering in where different sorts of volunteering are carried out (working camps, long term projects, ESC, international teaching) giving the chance to catalans volunteers and those from abroad to experience the volunteering.
- This organisation holds a European Solidarity Corps Quality Label. The Quality Label certifies that the organisation is able to run projects in compliance with the principles and objectives of the European Solidarity Corps.
