Description of organisation

Gwennili is an NGO created in 1998. We organize youth exchanges, workcamps, European trainings, European volunteering, internships in Europe. Our target group are young people from 16 to 25 years old mainly, but also teachers, teamers ...
"Gwennili" means "swallow" in breton, this bird symbolises the openness to Europe and to the exchange beyond the frontiers.
Our organisation is composed by 3 employees, one volunteer and one board.

Our goals :
- to bring young people a sense of European citizenship and better polticial, social, cultural, economical knowledge on Europe
- to enable to the young people with fewer opportunities to participate in our projects
- to improve linguistic and intercultural skills through common intercultural projects

Our organisation works realizing various European projects :
- youth exchanges in the professionnal area (professionnal and agricultural high schools)
- youth exchanges on cultural themes (theatre, music...)
- intercultural workcamps
- trainings on intercultural and linguistic themes
- European Solidarity Corps (sending and coordinating organisation)
- Internships for NEETS

Every year we organise :
- about 20 exchanges/trainings
- 10 ESC departures
- 5/6 ECS histong coordination
- 30 internships in Europe (8 weeks)

450 young people participate to our projects, hence approximately 150 french participants.

Since 2016, we coordinate 6 hosting organisations to welcome volunteers. We organise all logistical and some tutoring on this project : food, hosting, collective projects, cultural discoveries...

We are supported by our town, the department council, the French-German Youth Office and Erasmus +.
