The Nordic Association in Denmark is a non-religious, political independent member association that has a main aim on improving cohesion, language comprehension as well as improving integration in in the labor markets across the Nordic region and fighting border barriers across countries. Our target group is primarily Nordic citizens in every age. In addition to this we also help European citizens with giving them a Nordic work life experience and interest in the Nordic region. This is something we do together with our sister associations in the other Nordic countries. Among other activities we also have arrangements across Denmark for our own members, contact with our local departments, visit schools, participate in debates and political arenas and help citizens moving to Denmark in their understanding of the Danish culture and system. To do that we often work on various projects. One of the projects we are involved in is a culture, language and labor market project called Nordjobb, and it has existed for 37 years. It concentrates on assisting young Nordic citizens and EU citizens between 18-30 in their job search processes, providing work for these, but also helping employers hiring young Nordic (and European citizens) on an equal ground with each Nordic countries own youth. Each Nordic country has its own department where The Nordic Association in Denmark have the responsibility for ‘Nordjobb Danmark’. Each Nordjobb-department helps with each country’s rules and praxis.
