Vilnius Antakalnis Open Youth Center operates according to the principles of open youth work and applys non-formal education methods in its open work with young people. Our target group is youths from age 14-29. Our aim is to, first and foremost, empower young people to reach their highest potential in order to become wholesome, self-reliant and balanced individuals who would then go on to positively impact other communities later in life. Our team of highly-qualified and experienced youth workers aim to build authentic and mutually-respectful relationships with young people, in order to become sources of support and encouragement in all areas of their lives. Our regular activities, which are free-of-charge and open to all youths, are curated based on a holistic approach on a young person and take into account one's emotional well-being, physical health, career planning, development of creativity, and learning through volunteering, amongst other things. Such activities include "career club" for professional orientation, art therapy workshops, volunteering, social dancing, (NVC) Non-Violent Communication workshops, mindfullness practices, (EQ) emotional intelligence workshops, self-help groups, Vinyasa Flow Yoga classes, acro yoga workshops, cooking workshops, various types of informative lectures, photograhy classes and much more. One of our strengths as a youth center is our strong and supportive community, therefore we encourage all young people who feel inspired to do so to share their passions and interests with others by taking advantage of all of our facilities to organize any events or workshops for their peers.
