Description of organisation

Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University was founded in 1992 and has expanded rapidly to offer wide variety of programmes from medicine to engineering, from business administration to fine arts, theology to teaching education. COMU is now became a dynamic, progressive, modern university in accord with international standards. COMU uses ECTS credits alongside local credits and was awarded DS Label and ECTS label by European Commission.

COMU focus on delivering high-quality education and research facilities and believe that all people should be given a chance to be educated, to learn, to be guided along a career path and to work. COMU also aim to increase young people’s confidence and help them to recognise their capabilities.

COMU International Relations Office ESC Unit aims to support young people to explore and reach their potential through volunteering and engaging in civil society. It has organisational, administrative and financial capacity to prepare and coordinate projects and send volunteers.

COMU support disadvantaged people to achieve their full potential and enjoy life in all its fullness. COMU can provide additional mentoring or other support suitable for people with social obstacles, educational difficulties, cultural differences or similar.
