The Hameau des Buis association aims to bring people together around the eco-environment to:

- Develop an ecological way of life: housing, consumption, energy transition, organic farming, etc,
- Act in favor of biodiversity and living beings,
- Research and implement an organization that respects human beings,
- Establish and maintain a caring and supportive environment for all people, from childhood to old age,
- To share and disseminate these practices to the widest possible audience.
- To participate in the management of the structure that owns the Hameau des Buis.
The actions of the association are developed in the following fields
o Setting up short circuits of ethical consumption open to its members (e.g.: farmers' market, grouped purchases, etc);
o Support for the establishment and maintenance of professional activities on the site of the Hameau des Buis supporting the purpose of the association;
o Sobriety of energy, mutualization of energy sources, development of alternative energies;
o Setting up participative decision-making processes, conflict resolution methods, spaces for expression and conviviality;
o Sharing these experiences with the general public by organizing guided tours, conferences, fairs, and any other means of communication;
o Transmission of these experiences through the organization of workshops, workcamps, training courses;
o Promotion of this way of life by welcoming and accompanying researchers, students, trainees, volunteers;
o Support and participation in the action of organizations sharing its values;
o Practice and promotion of mutual aid and intergenerational solidarity: support for autonomy, home maintenance; support for alternative and caring pedagogies;
o Administration and animation of the life of the ecovillage Hameau des Buis;
o Acquisition, development, transmission and dissemination of skills to implement these means.
