Description of organisation

2023 is our 12th year of practical and intellectual action in Evia Island, Greece. We have made it our life’s journey to research, create and implement an efficient social structure in a prototype, sustainable eco-community in Greece, which can be copied, combined and transformed to any part of Greece and the world, to work as a research school on self-sufficiency and sustainability.

During this time we encourage and actively support like-minded people and groups in their effort to research and/or realize their own productive and sustainable ideas, structures and communities. This way, our community serves as a school for anyone who wishes to learn about self-sufficiency and sustainability. Our focus groups in the last 12 years of developing have
been from ages 15 to 70, participating in non-formal and informal education programs (workshops, seminars, festivals and other activities). More than 60000 humans have visited and participated in our actions, one way or another during this time.

We organize in a yearly rotation schedule practical and theoretical workshops with the following thematic areas: Energy sufficiency and low impact technologies, Permaculture, Self-sufficiency, natural farming, eco-building, body and health, sustainability at home, non-violent communication, mushrooms cultivation, composting, and many more.

We also hosted successfully, long term ESC programs and short term ESC programs for volunteering teams, for 3 consecutive years.
