The Municipality of Polpenazze d / G is a rural area located in the province of Brescia and administers a population of few thousand
inhabitants. The city is a popular holiday destination in Southern Europe.
The general scope of work of the Municipality is to sustain the growth of its territory. The Municipality produces services for citizens,
and promotes the development of its own territory. It promotes welfare, social inclusion, and solidarity.
By means of its offices or reliance on external parties, the City delivers a range of services that are briefly described below.
- Services to the citizens: services for children and families social activities and youth policies, support to education and sport
initiatives, cultural activities and the library, demographic services, funeral services, tributes .
- Technical services: comprise the services that organize and follow the planning and building transformations of the territory and
those who carry out activities relating to the new construction or maintenance of public buildings, sports facilities and underground
utilities.
Since 2014, the Municipality of Polpenazze has strengthened its commitment to the youth world through the launch of an
Information and Promotion Service on the European Union's Opportunities, called Spazio Europa, based within the public library.
Main activities of Spazio Europa in Polpenazze del Garda are:
- information desk for the general public; events and seminars to foster local and regional debate on the EU and its policies;·
- promotion of EU information campaigns;
- help desk on Erasmus+ programme to support youth associations, young people, willing to participate in Erasmus+ KA1;
- web site, monthly newsletters, facebook and twitter account to ensure up-to-date information on EU.
Thanks to Spazio Europa Service and the “European animation” carried out in the area, the Municipality of Polpenazze have become
an important reference point for local youth and at the same time an instrument to facilitate their participation in European mobility
initiatives and Public life of the community
