Asociatia Babilon Travel's (ABT) mission is to promote social inclusion, intercultural dialogue, adaptive sports, and outdoor activities as tools for inclusion and active European citizenship among young people, with or without fewer opportunities.
We train youth workers, leaders, teachers, educators, and volunteers to involve people with fewer opportunities, especially those with disabilities, in various activities, including educational, sports, indoor and outdoor activities, and international mobilities. ABT also promotes mobility, sustainable tourism, rural tourism, ecotourism, and Romanian traditions and handicrafts, creating accessible tourist tracks suitable for disabled youth. Since 2021, ABT has been accredited for Erasmus+ Youth mobilities (KA105) and held EVS accreditation as a hosting and sending organization from 2018 to 2020.
ABT implements a wide range of projects and activities:
- Local and international youth exchanges involving mixed groups of youngsters, with and without impairments.
- Local and international training courses, seminars, and study visits for youth workers and volunteers, including participants with impairments
- Local and international youth participation projects, starting in 2017, involving visually impaired and non-visually impaired youth. One project was named Project of the Year 2018 at the national level (Gala CeRe 2018).
- This organisation is accredited to run projects under Erasmus+ Volunteering and the European Solidarity Corps.
- This organisation holds a European Solidarity Corps Quality Label. The Quality Label certifies that the organisation is able to run projects in compliance with the principles and objectives of the European Solidarity Corps.
