In English the name of the organization "Atvertos langinės" means Open Shutters. It speaks both to being open towards new opportunities, innovations and future to come, and the past, the old. The organization began work in January 2016, it's main focus is non-formal art and cultural education targeted at people of all ages living in a less advantaged, rural and country-side areas. By organizing and curating various concerts, art exhibitions and other cultural and educational events, organization is developing and mediating cultural partnership between urban and rural areas as well as encouraging children, young people and all people in the countryside to participate and learn about culture and art.
The organization operates with a strong focus on volunteering and non-formal education methods.
