The purpose of the AUM association is to promote volunteering as a way of engaging in solving some problems faced by the community and locals and developing educational and personal development activities for children, young people and adults.
The association was officially registered according to the Romanian law in 2018 and started its work in partnership with some local institutions and public persons. Our first main action was to meet several times a large group of locals like artists, teachers, lawyers, tourist guides, students living in other big cities, owners of local private companies, representatives of other local association and public institutions and create a general list of local needs and fields of interest in order to be able to plan our common and particular involvement methods and activities for our community development.
For the moment AUM association is using all Wild Carpathia's and Centrul de Voluntariat Sighisoara associations resources in what concerns the office, the local volunteers and the management staff due to the fact that from 2020 AUM will represent the official merge between this two associations that were working in the last years on many EVS projects founded by Erasmus + program and will bring together all the best in them, the staff, the volunteers and the local partnerships. This merge was decided to be necessary by the associations staff due to some private issues, resigns and replacement of the founding members of the two previous associations so AUM will take over the activities and the local projects of them both. During 2019 Wild Carpathia and CEVOSighisoara will close all the financed volunteering projects and will not apply for new ones (the previous certification received by Wild Carpathia being necessary for the present projects implementation).
Some of our main points from the future development strategy:
- we are planning to use volunteers and voluntary activities as main elements in developing our local community social and cultural life
- we are planning to organize public events for promoting solidarity and the importance of all locals's contribution for growing our small society
- we are planning to consolidate our local partnerships and reinforce our association members in order to have the courage and get directly involved in the community life
- we are planning to build also international collaborations with different youth and humanitarian association to create together initiatives to promote the human rights as freedom, equality and social justice
- we are planning to organize local and national fundraising campaigns in order to obtain the needed funds for our activities but also to apply for grants and to work on ESC new program for education and young people for bringing a plus and promoting common values, social and cultural health, traditions and humanitarian aid. As we imagine it till now, AUM association will become the main element in supporting the projects and the programs for guidance, personal development and coaching for our partners, our members, our young beneficiaries, our local and international volunteers. Till the present moment the founder members of our association gained a lot of experience in projects management for Wild Carpathia and Centrul de Voluntariat Sighisoara associations and will be more than pleased to use it for this brand new common objective. In the future AUM association will contribute with volunteers for all the other activities organized by our partners and by activities we name events, exhibitions, shows, workshops, conferences, seminars on cultural-educational topics under the influence of the non-formal education approach. In this way we will directly create a frame for the personal development of our volunteers and we will be able to give them a practical experience for their future employability.
