description of organisation

The Dharma Canarias Cultural Association was established in 2012 and focuses on training as a tool for a better society. Our headquarter is located in the south of Tenerife and we organize many cultural events in coordination with the local Town Halls and also participate in many activities organized by the government of Tenerife bringing together people from different backgrounds and cultures. Fighting prejudices and creating a consciousness of interculturality. Our headquarters are based in an area were more than 120 different nationalities live in good harmony. We offer regularly workshops to groups of all kinds of ages and conditions in three main areas: ecology, healthy living and personal growth.
We value education in both young and adults, and we believe it is the best way to reduce economic and spiritual poverty, and inequality. We are aware of the power and the need for education and training in society and that is why we constantly try to learn and improve our skills and knowledge. We are, so to speak, an educational organization in continuous learning process. The essence is to convey useful, practical and quality knowledge in the shortest time possible. Our main objective is to offer tools to our students so they can live a healthier, greener, emotionally and spiritually balanced.

We achieve our goals through:

-Development of courses, seminars and workshops at our centers or in cooperation with other organizations or national institutions.
-International cooperation projects with European organizations with similar interests.

Our training courses are open to all audiences and we proactively try to involve as many disadvantaged people in society as immigrants, refugees, disabled, ethnic minority groups or people without available resources. We firmly believe that our activities fit well with the objectives of Erasmus Plus programme and want
to participate to:

-Improve the level of skills and key competencies, and allow our students a better fit on the labor market.
-Cooperate in people's mobility for reasons of learning.
-Promote intercultural awareness through cooperation with other European organizations.
-Implement the use of tools for transparency and recognition of the EU and good practices through
the use of Youthpass and Europass CV.

This organisation holds a European Solidarity Corps Quality Label. The Quality Label certifies that the organisation is able to run projects in compliance with the principles and objectives of the European Solidarity Corps.
