The Turulmadár Association has been operating for 11 years as an educational association in Sfântu Gheorghe, Covasna county. The association was founded in 2007 as part of a local initiative. Our Mission: Realizing the potential in and developing the personalities of children and youth for the benefit of the community. Our mission is determined by the following values: volunteering; education; creativity; responsibility; safety; tradition; openness; tolerance.
Strategic Guidelines
• organization of educational and teaching programs for children and youth;
• activities promoting volunteering;
• long-term maintenance and operation of a local youth office;
• preserving and passing on values and traditions;
• organization of leisure activities/programs;
• organization development activities: trainings, team building;
• developing and developing local, regional and international partnerships.
Our activities:
• Running the Berde Mózsa Circle, education and development for disadvantaged children on four municipalities of the county.
• Organizing a Grand Cultural and Volunteer Cup for young people and volunteers.
• DOFE (The Duke of Edinburgh's Award) – running a mentoring program for young people at county level for young people aged between 14-24.
• Operating a bicycle school and rental.
• Organizing different events, programs.
• Promoting volunteering at a local level.
• Editing and publishing publications.
• Operating and maintaining a youth office
The target group of the organization is primarily composed by the youth and children living in the county. More than 80 children and 50 young people participate in our programs at county level. 30 professional volunteers, instructors, mentors, overseer are working with them. The office has two employees, who work on the daily activities and administration.

This organisation holds a European Solidarity Corps Quality Label. The Quality Label certifies that the organisation is able to run projects in compliance with the principles and objectives of the European Solidarity Corps.
