APEEEVOA is the acronym of Associação de Pais E Encarregados de Educação da Escola Voz do Operário da Ajuda (VOA). It is an association of parents and legal guardians of pre-school and 1st cycle students (aged 3 – 10 years) of school Voz do Operário, Ajuda Lisboa.

APEEEVOA was founded in 1997 and has since functioned continuously. Its goals are:
i) to contribute, by all means at its disposal, so that parents and guardians can fully fulfill their mission as educators;
ii) to contribute to the balanced development of the student's personality and to defend his / her moral, cultural and physical interests; c) to advocate for a teaching policy that respects and promotes the fundamental values of the human person.

To fulfill these objectives, APEEEVOA:
a) advocates for the just and legitimate interests of students in all matters regarding school, education and culture;
b) maintains the necessary dialogue channels for mutual understanding and collaboration among all members of VOA’s educational community;
c) promotes activities of pedagogical, formative, physical, scientific, social, recreational and cultural nature and to cooperate in the initiatives of the school;
d) promote the participation of parents and legal guardians in all activities aimed at strengthening VOA’s educational community;
e) contributes to the resolution of situations that may jeopardize the proper functioning of the school;
f) promotes the establishment of relations with other similar associations or their representative structures to ensure the representation of their interests with the Ministry of Education;
g) intervene, as a social partner, with local authorities, authorities and other institutions, in order to facilitate the exercise of rights and the fulfilment of the duties of parents and legal guardians.
