Description of organisation

Youth Horizon was founded on December 5, 2018, the International Day of Volunteering, reflecting the endeavor to harness the spirit of volunteerism and active participation in our mission to empower and support young individuals. The organization was established by youth work practitioners who envision the promotion of services tailored specifically to the unique needs of young people from diverse backgrounds. The key priorities of the organization are as follows:
• Fostering active civic engagement among youth through volunteering and participation in decision-making process.
• Enhancing inclusion and accessibility that all youth, regardless of their backgrounds, abilities, or socio-economic status.
• Fostering youth economic empowerment through enhanced employability.
• Facilitating intercultural dialogue between Georgian youth and young people from around the word.

The organization targets individuals aged 13 to 30, with a particular emphasis on youth belonging to various demographic groups, including those with disabilities, ethnic minorities, families with lower economic incomes, individuals who are internally displaced, and those hailing from rural regions.
Youth Horizon employs a diverse set of strategies, encompassing non-formal educational activities, advocacy for policy reform, awareness-raising campaigns, sporting events, exchange programs, volunteering initiatives, service learning, mentorship, and internship opportunities.
Youth Horizon plays a supportive role as an organization affiliated with the European Solidarity Corps (ESC). In this capacity, our organization actively encourages and publicizes ESC volunteering opportunities within its network of volunteers.
