Description of organisation

The Municipal Culture, Sport and Tourism in Suchowola is a cultural institution which operates in the promotion of regional culture, sport, promotion and tourism. It's such a cultural and educational center in our area. The office is located in Suchowola. It operates throughout the whole Suchowola commune (the town and villages). There are 8 people working in the Municipal Culture, Sport and Tourism (director, accountant, 2 office employees, tourist information desk employee, 3 instructors: music, sports, dance).
The target group are local people of all ages, from children, young people to seniors. At the Municipal Culture, Sport and Tourism operate: children's dance group, boys' football team, art group and music group, and a choir of seniors. We have a dance hall, conference room (with a small stage used to music festivals), a studio used for classes and workshops. There is a building "Center of Three Cultures" which we used for poetry meetings, exhibitions, cameral concerts, it's also used for other activities. Sports activities are on the playing field or sports hall.
We organize many interesting events: concerts, poetry meetings, handicraft exhibitions, painting exhibitions, photo exhibitions, the Draught Horse Exhibition, sporting events (running, football and volleyball matches, table tennis games, sports competition in athletics), Harvest Festival, International Festival of Brass Bands Europarada, ppoetry competition, music competition, art competitions, photo competition, folk and art workshops, carols festival, conferences, state celebrations, we promote culture and local creativeness, we publish a newsletter Sami o Sobie, we organize Christmas Eve for poor, elderly and lonely people, charity events, we organize integration meetings for seniors, we have classes after school for children (sports, dance, music, art). we design and order promotional materials, publish publications, travel guides.
The Municipal Culture, Sports and Tourism in Suchowola cooperates with schools, associations, other cultural institutions and entrepreneurs who take a part in events, workshops and other celebrations. Our institution is open 5 days a week. All ceremonies and events are also on Saturdays and Sundays. We try our offer of activities and events to constantly expand and adapt to the expectations of the society. Everything what happens in The Municipal Culture, Sports and Tourism in Suchowola can be followed on Facebook @goksitsuchowola, where we post current information about our workshops, cyclical activities, ceremonies and events etc. The Municipal Culture, Sports and Tourism cooperated with the High School in Suchowola in the EVS project, and for the past 3 years foreign volunteers had various activities, including a language cafe, culinary classes, and helped in the organization of our events.
