Description of organisation

Regional Network for Sustainable Rural Development (ReSOURSe) was founded in 2012 and registered in 2013. The aims of the organization: to develop the model for sustainable rural development, to engage youth in innovative and environmentally friendly activities on the rural territories, to create environmental and social educational programs. International solidarity cooperation is one of the important aims of our organization.

Target groups - young people, local citizens from remote villages and indigenes communities, local rural communities, Russian and international volunteers, grass roots civic and environmental activists, children, teenagers and adults from cities those are interested in sustainable development and resilience.

The main activities of the organization are environmental educational programs for children, youth and adults including sustainable development and climate adaptation issues; development of practical and experimental demonstration site for sustainable rural development, including permaculture forest garden and farm, alternative energy, eco building; international youth and volunteer camps and programs; forest conservation activity, research and educational expeditions. We are making many regional and international educational and practical events for cultural exchange.

ReSOURSE supports and implements principles of sustainable rural development. The organization supports rural youth and students to get knowledge, which can increase their employability (soft skills, new eco-technologies, base computer literacy, community building techniques). Our team try to implement new model for the sustainable development on rural territory. We try to get to know each other: youth from the remote villages, ecovillages and youth and students from cities, we give opportunity for people who interested in environmentally friendly lifestyle to get practice on the ground (project "Forest school”). People can stay for long period in our community to experience different practices and skills. Our project is a platform for communication between locals and citizens to exchange knowledge and inspiration. This model of activities promotes principle of transparency and solidarity between people with different positions. The main base principles: self-organisation, respect to the nature, balance between science and art, human development, revival of traditions, relations based on respect and deep understanding
